The University of Northampton has maintained its place in the top 50 of the latest national Guardian University Guide for 2015.

The university has gone from number 47 in the rankings to number 44 for 2015.

This rise continues to demonstrate its commitment to transforming lives and inspiring change, according to the university.

Professor Nick Petford, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Northampton commented: “We are pleased to have improved on our position within the Guardian University Guide 2015, maintaining our status as a Top 50 UK University.

“The university continues to see an improvement in statistics for student satisfaction, with overall satisfaction rising to 88 per cent. This is testament to the dedication and professionalism of all our staff and our ongoing focus on placing the student experience at the heart of our offering. The University continues to invest in our facilities, having recently completed the £25million St John’s Halls of Residence.

“With a great result again in 2015, we will focus on maintaining and improving this position as we develop our ambitious plans to create a brand new Waterside Campus, offering state-of-the-art teaching facilities and accommodation to continue to attract students and prosper in what is becoming an increasingly competitive market.”

The Guardian League Table is influenced by final year undergraduate students across all subject areas who through the annual National Student Survey, are asked to provide feedback on key issues. These include the quality of their courses, teaching standards and facilities at their respective universities.
