Megan Hogg, from Corby in Northamptonshire, successfully applied for a place on the Universitys Psychology degree course through Clearing in 2015.

The clearing process is open to those who have received their BTEC results, plus potential mature students, to secure their place on a full-time undergraduate course in September.

Antony Bounds, head of admissions, said: “Clearing is traditionally associated with mid-August’s A-level results day, when thousands who are without an offer of a degree course have the chance to find a university place for the new academic year.

“But, by launching clearing earlier, the University is helping those who already have their results – and potential mature students – to beat the rush and secure their place.”

Megan Hogg, from Corby, successfully applied for a place on the University’s psychology degree course through clearing in 2015.

She said: “The clearing process itself was pretty easy – I was able to find out about different universities and courses online.

“When I found the psychology course at the University of Northampton, all I had to do was call one telephone number, they asked for my grades and said I could enrol – it was that easy.

“I’m really pleased I came here. I’m closer to home and the course is really good with some very interesting modules and all of the lecturers are really supportive.”
