A Northamptonshire county councillor is returning to serving his community after suffering from ill health.

Adam Collyer, a UKIP for Daventry West, had “suffered some health problems and was considering his position”, the party said.

But today East Midlands regional organiser, Paul Oakden, said Councillor Collyer would continue in his role.

Mr Oakden said: “I’m delighted to say that after talking to Adam he will continue as a UKIP county councillor. The party is fully supportive of him and we are pleased the issue is now resolved.”
