Two teens stabbed in Northampton town centre

A teenager is in a stable condition in hospital after he and a friend were stabbed in a Northampton bar.

Northamptonshire Police said an 18-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man were stabbed, by an unknown weapon, at about 3am on Friday in the men’s toilets at Momo Bar in Abington Street.

The 19-year-old was taken to University Hospital Coventry and is in a stable condition and the 18-year-old required medical attention.

Det Sgt Keith Finson said this afternoon: “Thus far no arrests have been made in relation to the double stabbing at Momo’s on Abington Street in Northampton.

“Enquiries continue into the offences. We appeal to anyone who may have seen the incident or have information pertaining to the identity of the suspect or suspects to come forward.

“Any information will be treated with the strictest confidence. Please call 101 and ask for Northampton CID, DS 540 Finson.”
