Two men picked up a two televisions and went to walk out the door of a Tesco store in Northamptonshire without paying for them.

The two men walked into Tesco supermarket in New Street, Daventry on Monday night and each picked up two boxed televisions and carried them towards the fire exit.

A member of staff tried to stop them but they managed to get away with one of the televisions.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have been in the shop between 5.50pm and 6.10pm when the incident took place.

Officers would also like to speak to anyone who may recognise the offenders involved in the incident. The first was a white man, 6ft4in and aged in his late 20s. He had ginger hair, a beard and was of large build. He was wearing a dark coloured zip-up top and beanie hat.

The second offender was about 6ft4in, also in his late 20s and was slimmer than the other man. He had short, dark coloured hair and wore dark coloured clothing.
