Two lanes closed on M1 southbound after road traffic collision in Northamptonshire

There are reports of severe congestion.

Two lanes on the M1 are currently closed due to a road traffic collision.

Two lanes have been closed on the M1 southbound at Junction 15A (Towcester / Northampton Services) due to a road traffic collision that took place at around 4.30pm.

Highways England reports that there is currently "severe congestion" with delays of 30 minutes against expected traffic.

Traffic is expected to return to normal at around 9pm tonight, according to Highways England.
