THE vice-chairman of South Northamptonshire Council, Diana Dallyn, has died, aged 68.
Councillor Dallyn, who was elected district councillor for Towcester Brook in May 2007 and again in May this year, died on Monday.
She also represented the council on the Towcester Partnership, West Northamptonshire Development Corporation Planning Committee and the County Health Scrutiny Panel.
Chairman of South Northamptonshire Council, Councillor Sally Townsend, said Councillor Dallyn was a “well respected and pro-active member of the council.”
She said: “As well as her political work, she was also a tireless campaigner and fund-raiser for various charities.
“Diana’s enthusiasm and drive will be greatly missed by her fellow members and staff at the council. Our condolences go to her husband Richard and family at this time.”
