A Northamptonshire County Council spokesman said on behalf of the Countywide Traveller Unit (CTU): “There are currently nine caravans on land off Mill Lane, Northampton. The CTU are monitoring and liaising with the group, who have stated their intention to move on.

“If they do not do so voluntarily, the group will be served with an eviction notice instructing them to vacate the site.”
