A traveller encampment which pitched up next to a primary school in Northampton this morning has been given until tomorrow to move on.
Around ten caravans were reported pulling onto Far Cotton recreation Ground off Queen Eleanor Way, at around 8.30am this morning.
It is not known whether the encampment, currently situated close to Queen Eleanor Primary School, comprises the same people who pitched at Sixfields football stadium yesterday.
A police spokesman said the group has been given orders to leave the Northampton Borough Council owned park by 11.30am tomorrow morning (Tuesday, July 8).
The Countywide Travellers’ unit has been contacted for comment.
