Travellers could appear at Northampton court on Friday if they fail to move on
A small group of travellers who pitched in a Northampton park could be summoned to court this week if they don't vacate the area.
The three caravans are believed to have arrived in Eastfield Park, Lakeview, late on Monday.
A spokesman for Northamptonshire County Council said: "The Countywide Traveller Unit (CTU) has assessed the unauthorised encampment of three caravans in Eastfield Park in Northampton.
"Official direction was served earlier today to vacate the area.
"Further summons will be issued tomorrow, ordering the encampment to appear in court on Friday."
