A group of travellers have parked their vehicles in the car park of the Nationwide office in Moulton Park, Northampton.
The vehicles arrived yesterday eveening (Wednesday) and a Nationwide spokesman said the area had been cordoned off.
The spokesman said: “A small number of travellers have arrived in our car park at our Northampton admin area. The area has been cordoned off and we have made the Police and Northamptonshire County Council’s Traveller liaison officer aware of the issue”
A spokesman for the county council said the Countywide Traveller Unit had been informed, but because it is private land they have no powers and can only advise the landlord.
Nationwide can apply for bailiffs to be called in to remove the travellers from the land.
