'Multi-vehicle' accident closes three lanes on M1 near Northampton
Drivers are being warned of severe delays on the M1 near Northampton after a "multi-vehicle accident".
Highways England tweeted at 8.35am: "#M1 southbound from J17 to J16 has three lanes closed after a multiple vehicle collision. Please consider an alternate route and expect delays. Thank you for your patience."
There are no details at this stage as to the nature of the accident nor any injuries.
