Longs delays on M1 after two accidents near Northampton
Two accidents on the M1 near Northampton caused long delays for drivers this afternoon (Thursday, July 18).
Two lanes were blocked after a crash involving two lorries northbound from junction 15 for Northampton to junction 14 for Milton Keynes at around 2.30pm.
Highways England tweeted: "Delays of at least 30 minutes additional travel time on approach to the #M1 lane closures, 5 miles of congestion on approach."
And one lane was shut from junction 17 for Coventry and junction 16 for Northampton following a single-vehicle crash at around 2.15pm.
Both accidents have been cleared and traffic is back to normal.
