Trade fair showcases best independent business in Northampton town centre
The fair, which takes place in the Great Hall at the Guildhall on Saturday October 22, is organised by Northampton Borough Council and will showcase many of the independent businesses that are unique to the town.
As in previous years, the stalls will be run by local traders offering a wide selection of products and services, from clothing and jewellery to locally produced food and drink. Last month, the Chronicle & Echo's annual state of the town centre survey revealed that there had been an increase, proportionally, of independent retailers compared to national chains.

Entrance is free and it’s a great chance to get a flavour of the wide range of independent businesses in Northampton and all they have to offer.
“Several of the businesses at the fair are from the St Giles Quarter and it’s an excellent opportunity for the businesses to show that St Giles Street is open for business as usual during the current works taking place to improve the winner of the Great British High Street award even further.”
The St Giles October Fair will run from 11am to 3pm. Entry is free.
