Three men who stole industrial-size magnets from a Northamptonshire flour mill are being hunted by police.

The theft happened at 10.30pm on Monday June 9 from Heygates Flour Mill in Bugbrooke. Information about the theft has been released today.

A police spokesman said: “CCTV images show three offenders walking around the site prior to removing the heavy magnets from a container. These items are used in the production of flour and were due to be fitted to machinery on the site.

“We believe the offenders drove to and from the site in an old white van, possibly a Peugeot Expert or a Citroen Dispatch.

“The offenders are all white, aged 30 - 40 and of average height. One has a stocky build with short hair, another a medium build – he was wearing glasses. The third has a slim build.

“We would like to speak to anybody who saw anything suspicious in the area when the offence took place. The magnets would have been heavy to lift in or out of the van and officers would also like to hear from anybody who thinks they may have seen them being unloaded at another destination.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Northamptonshire Police on 101. Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
