People in Northampton could be set to enjoy temperatures of up to 30C next week as the summer finally starts to heat up.
Forecasters are predicting that southerly winds will import hot air from the continent next week.
The Met Office is predicting the mercury could rise to between 20 and 25C on Monday and Tuesday.
From Wednesday, a number of long range weather forecasters, including BBC weather, are saying the hot and humid weather could bring temperatures of up to 30C.
However, the hot weather is not set to last and there is a possibility of thunderstorms and cooler temperatures next weekend.
