Teenager flown to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a collision with a car in Northampton

A teenage boy was seriously injured in a collision on the A508 Harborough Road, just north of the Boughton roundabout on Saturday.

The 16-year-old was in collision with a silver Seat Leon being driven by a 36-year-old man at about 5.45pm.

The teenager had a pedal bike with him but this was not involved in the collision.

He sustained serious, life-threatening head injuries as a result of the collision and was taken to University Hospital Coventry by air ambulance.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have seen the teenager on a red mountain bike before the collision.
