Teenager attacked by man who tried to remove ring off his finger in Northampton


A man punched teenager and tried to remove a ring off his finger after he approached him on a Northampton street.

The 18-year-old was walking along Barrack Road in the town centre at about 11pm on Wednesday, December 2, when a man approached him close to the former sorting office and asked for money.

The man then grabbed the teenager’s wrist and tried to remove a ring from his finger. He then punched him on the arm and in the face.

Fortunately, he was disturbed by people shouting at him from passing cars and he ran away.

The attacker is described as Asian, 20 to 30-years-old, about 5ft 10in and stocky. He was wearing a grey hooded top with the hood up and dark coloured trousers.
