Teenage girl robbed of handbag by two men on a moped in Northampton


A teenage girl had her handbag stolen by two men who were riding a moped.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said the 17-year-old was close to an underpass near Tesco in Mereway, Northampton, when she was approached by the men at about 6.45pm on Wednesday, December 23.

“The passenger got off the bike and pulled the girl’s bag off her shoulder. The two men then made-off in the direction of Abbeyfield School,” he said.

“The man riding the moped was wearing a black baseball cap, a grey hoodie and dark trousers. The passenger was wearing a black hoodie, black trousers and a black balaclava,” he added.
