A girl waiting at a bus stop in Northampton was held, punched and spat by a gang during an attack in town.
The 16-year-old was standing at the bus stop near the Penny Whistle pub in Abington Square when she was approached by a group of teenage boys, one of whom appeared to film her with his mobile phone while being verbally abusive towards her.
The girl ran after the boy down a nearby alleyway while he continued to record.
She was then held by another boy while the suspect punched her in the face using a knuckle duster. A third boy spat at the victim.
The incident happened between 4.30pm and 4.50pm on Saturday, June 13.
The boy who held the victim is described as black, about 14-years-old and was wearing tracksuit style clothing. The boy who spat at the victim is described as mixed-race, about 14-years-old and was also wearing tracksuit type clothing.
There were a number of people around the bus stop at the time of the incident and police are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with information, to call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
