A 15-year-old horse rider was airlifted to hospital after a fall on farmland near Great Billing on Sunday.

The accident happened at about 3.20pm.

A spokesman for Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance said: “On arrival, the patient was lying on the floor. She was complaining of pain in her shoulder and tenderness in her spine. The crew utilised a collar and scoop in order to immobilise the patient. The crew also offered the patient pain relief, however the patient declined.

“She was airlifted to University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire for further treatment. Her condition was stable en route to hospital,” the spokesman added.
