A teacher will run the 18 miles between six Northampton schools to raise awareness of child abuse.
Matt Bushell, a teacher at Lings Primary School, is running the London Marathon next year in aid of the NSPCC.
And as part of his wider fundraising efforts, he is encouraging the 2,000 pupils to wear sponsored fancy dress on Friday and the 39-year-old will run the 18 miles between the six schools, popping in to see their efforts on the way.
Mr Bushell said: “Being a child should be the best time of their life, but its a difficult time for some. Too many children don’t have that support around them.
“The idea is that we all have a Childhhood Day where the children dress up as something symbolising a happy time in their lives.”
Matt has delivered assemblies on the NSPCC and ChildLine to the six schools that fall within the Northampton Primary Academy Trust, which are: Lings, Ecton Brook Weston Favell, Abington Vale and Simon de Senlis primary schools.
Mr Bushell, from Abington Vale, said: “The run brings the schools together and its also just a chance to say thank you.”
