Stretch of major road into Northampton closed due to 'serious collision'
A crash on a main route into Northampton has left a stretch of the road closed and long tailbacks stretching in both directions.
The A5 has been closed off by police in both directions between the Furnace Lane junction by Nether Heyford and the A45 junction because of an accident this morning.
Highways England has described the incident as a "serious collision," with diversions in place.
