A stolen bike was seen being ridden by a man near Northampton shops, say police

A stolen Carrera Crossfire pedal bicycle that was taken from outside a house in Northampton may have been seen by the "local shops."

The bike, which is gunmetal grey with red and silver trim, was secured with a chain in Middlemore, Southfields, and was taken at around 9.30am on Saturday, 22 October.

It is believed the bike may have been painted white and a police spokeswoman said it may have since been seen near the local shops being ridden by a man.

The man is described as white, aged between 30 and 40-years old, with a slim build and short, brown scruffy hair and facial stubble.

Witnesses, or anyone with any information about the stolen bike, should contact Northamptonshire Police on 101.
