Wicksteed Park’s meerkats may be able to help parents keep their children entertained if their school is closed as people go to the polls for the EU referendum.
The Kettering park is open as normal on Thursday, June 23 - the day of the referendum - and the new meerkat burrows attraction will be open for the occasion.
There will be reduced wristband prices of £10 for children and £8 for adults and small children and 16 rides and attractions will be open between 11am and 4pm.
Attractions open will include snakes and ladders, the tree top walk, meerkat burrows, bumper cars, jets, clown coaster, roundabout, the cups ‘n’ saucers, lighthouse, aviary, rockin’ tug, carousel, pirate ship, the train and crazy golf.
Wickys Play Factory is also open, offering a new indoor play feature for little ones to run, jump and bounce around in for a small extra charge.
The park grounds will also be open for walks around our recently restored lake and picnics in the 147 acres of lovely countryside.
