To celebrate the milestone, the group decided to have a reunion of old leaders, members and parents from the last 60 years. There was a selection of photographs, trophies, badges and other memorabilia associated with the group.

The current Beaver and Cub Scouts united to play some unique games before being joined by all those who came to see how far the group has come.

The Beavers, Cubs and Scouts then participated in a indoor campfire sing-a-long, followed by a cake cut by the oldest veteran Scout Leader John Bannister and the newest and youngest Beaver Scout in the group.

They said they felt a great sense of pride that a legacy of 60 years was still going strong. The whole group thanked everyone who came to make the evening very special.
