Six drivers fined for speeding in residential streets in Northampton

A traffic operation in Northampton on led to six motorists being issued with fixed penalty notices for speeding.

Officers, PCSOs and Special Constables from the Central Safer Community Team patrolled Grafton Street, Hunter Street, in The Mounts, and Lower Harding Street on Saturday, conducting speeding enforcement and traffic checks.

Two vehicles were pulled over for Vehicle Tax Offences, one in Hunter Street and the other from Lower Harding Street (pictured).

Two drivers were issued with a fixed penalty notice for failing to wear seatbelts.

PC Lee Stevens said, “Drivers continue to disregard the speed limits which means we will continue with our speeding operations.

"We will also be responding to the public's request to remove any vehicles obstructing the highways, particularly in the Semilong area”.
