Walkers are being urged to sign up for this year’s Crazy Hats walk in a bid to reach the magic £2 million mark for the charity.
The 13th Crazy Hats walk will begin at 10.30am on Sunday, March 22, at Wicksteed Park in Kettering.
While 13 may be unlucky for some, the charity is hoping to beat last year’s total of 2,800 walkers with the 12+1 Walk and reach £2million with its total fund-raising.
More than £55,000 was raised by the 2014 walk and it was used to fund projects in various departments at Kettering and Northampton General Hospitals as well as funding the support and therapy service run at the charity’s office on the Finedon Road industrial estate in Wellingborough.
Charity founder Glennis Hooper said: “Taking part in our annual walk is one way of showing your support. All we ask is for you to give up one morning a year and ask your family, friends and work colleagues to get involved.”
Entry forms are available via the charity’s website, from its office in Wellingborough or by calling 01933 442999.
