Shop worker taken to hospital after being attacked by robbers at Northampton store

A shop worker in Northampton was attacked during a robbery on Saturday and taken to hospital with a suspected fracture and bruising.

The incident happened at 2pm when two men entered the Khinda’s convenience store on Collingwood Road, Northampton, and assaulted the woman who was working there while demanding money.

A police spokesman said: “Both of the men left on foot, running away in the direction of the Racecourse.

“Both offenders are described as between 20 and 30, of slim build, and one was wearing a grey hooded top. The woman has been taken to Northampton General Hospital with a possible fracture and bruising.

“Witnesses, or anyone who knows anything about this incident, can call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
