A violent robbery at a convenience store in Northampton yesterday left a shop worker needing hospital treatment.

Northamptonshire Police has launched a bid to trace two men who robbed the Khinda’s convenience store on Collingwood Road, Northampton, at around 2pm yesterday, Saturday, May 30.

The suspects assaulted the woman who was working there while demanding money.

Both of the men left on foot, running away in the direction of the Racecourse.

Both offenders are described as between 20 and 30, of slim build, and one was wearing a grey hooded top.

A police spokesperson said the shop worker had to be taken to Northampton General Hospital with a possible fracture and bruising.

Witnesses, or anyone who knows anything about this incident, are being asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
