Seventh person appears in crown court charged with murder of Northampton teenager

A seventh person has appeared in Northampton Crown Court charged with the murder of 17-year-old Liam Hunt.

The 16-year-old boy, who was arrested on February 24, will appear with six other defendants for a plea and trial hearing on May 19. He has been remanded into custody.

Liam Hunt, 17, suffered fatal injuries to the neck during an assault at around 5pm on February 14.

Four boys, who cannot be named for legal reasons, and 18-year-old James Dodd, of Sentinel Road, Northampton, appeared before Birmingham Crown Court on February 21 charged with his murder and were remanded in custody.

It comes after 20-year-old Aaron Joseph, of Hylands Road, Walthamstow, London, appeared before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on February 23, also charged with murder, and was remanded into custody.
