Serious injuries after car accident on the A5 in Northamptonshire

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two people were seriously injured in a collision on the A5, near Weedon.

The collision happened at about midday on Friday between Fosters Booth and Weedon - near to the Bugbrooke turn - when a beige Skoda Rapid, driven by an 81-year-old man from Luton, was in collision with a blue Ford Focus, driven by a 32-year-old woman from Solihull.

Both drivers were taken to University Hospital Coventry with serious injuries.
