Second suspect still being hunted by police following Starbucks robbery in Northampton

The hunt for a second man in connection with an armed robbery at a Northampton coffee house is continuing, according to police.

Two armed robbers stormed into Starbucks at the James Retail Park at 5am on Monday threatening staff with weapons and demanding money.

The robbers were unaware that armed police were sat in the drive-thru ordering coffee at the same time.

A chase followed and despite a 'violent resistance', a 29-year-old man was arrested.

The stolen cash was also recovered.

A search took place for the other man believed to have been involved.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police confirmed today that there has been no second arrest.
