Second man charged with Northampton 'fake taxi' rape

A second man has been charged following a serious sexual assault in Northampton in October.

Sebastian Foit, 23, formerly of Earl Street, The Mounts, Northampton, appeared before Northampton Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Thursday, December 7) charged with rape and kidnap.

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Northampton Crown Court on Friday, December 22.

The assault took place in the early hours of Sunday, October 29, after the victim got into a car she mistakenly believed to be a taxi, outside the Charles Bradlaugh pub in Earl Street.

Adam Dusza, 26, of Kettering Road North, Northampton, has also been charged in connection with the same offence. He appeared before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Monday, November 28, charged with rape. He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Northampton Crown Court on Friday, December 22.

Detectives are continuing to appeal for witnesses and anyone who may have seen anything suspicious overnight on October 28 and 29, particularly in the areas of Earl Street and The Racecourse, are asked to contact Northampton CID as soon as possible.
