Two boys have been spotted playing on the rooftops above shops in Abington Street, the third incident of its kind this year.

An eyewitness described seeing two schoolchildren on the rooftops at around 4pm today.

Earlier this month on August 7, a 12-year-old was taken to hospital after he fell through a skylight.

That prompted Northamptonshire Police to issue a warning about 'urban exploring' after all three emergency services had to be rushed to the scene to treat the injured boy.

Speaking in after the August 7 incident, Police Sergeant James Elliott, said: “This incident could have been so much worse and thankfully the boy in question did not sustain life-threatening injuries.

“However he easily could have done and I hope this serves as a warning to those people who think playing on roofs is a good idea - it is extremely dangerous and could lead to a serious injury or even death.
