Rugby and Northampton Atheltic Club has signed a new sponsorship deal with a company that works with the NHS to promote self-care.
The logo of Totally Health will see its logo appear on 150 club running shirts for the Club’s National Youth Development League team (10 to 14 year olds), as well as clothing for six coaches.
Clinical health coaching is a personal and confidential service where a registered, experienced and qualified nurse provides one-to-one advice, usually via the telephone, to a patient diagnosed with at least one long term medical condition. The aim is to educate patients about how they can “self-manage” their condition, to reduce the day-to-day impact and improve their quality of life.
Totally Health is a provider of clinical health coaching services to both the NHS and private sector companies, to help patients better understand healthcare options, promote self-care and aid long term behavioural change which in turn impact on lifestyle and reduce healthcare reliance, re-admissions and emergency admissions.
Mark Exley, chairman of Rugby and Northampton Athletic Club, said: “We’re very excited about this new sponsorship and feel that Totally Health is a superb partner for the Club. Working closely with the NHS to provide hi-tech solutions to improve patients’ quality of life and reduce the burden on the healthcare system is a commendable venture.
“Sponsorship helps to provide much needed sporting equipment for our athletes and coaches ensuring that we can keep costs to a minimum for our members.”
Richard Blenkinsop, team manager of Rugby and Northampton Athletic Club, added: “The sponsorship T-shirts look absolutely fantastic and athletes and coaches alike will wear them with pride when competing locally, regionally and nationally. We’re extremely grateful to Totally Health and thrilled to have them on board with the Club.”
Emma-Jane Roberts, chief operating officer at Totally Health, said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for Totally Health to get involved with a thriving regional sports club and work together to promote the benefits that positive lifestyle changes such as exercise can have on our health.
“Supporting sport at a community level with funding is vital to get people of all ages more involved and we’re delighted to be able to play our part through this sponsorship. We look forward to following the progress of the Club, its coaches and of course the athletes this Spring and Summer season.”
