TOP ROD Adam Rooney put together some steady scoring to record a comfortable win in the latest Royal Mail Angling Club match.
Trinders Tackle representative Rooney fished from peg 23 on the outer Avon, seeing carp to 3lb for his winning weight of 65-8-0 at Makin's fishery.
Rooney fished the short pole in the margins on meat to catch steadily during the second half of the match.
Andy Pell, fishing in Angling Centre colours, finished in second place with a net of 44-12-0 of carp from peg six on the outer Avon.
Pell used cat meat on the pole at five metres, catching most of his fish during the second half of the match.
Mick Wheeler, also of the Angling Centre finished in third place despite breaking his pole five minutes after the start.
Fishing the method feeder from peg 25 on the outer Avon, Wheeler had carp to 3lb, using cat meat.
Bob Jones filled the frame with 38-2-0 for Trinders Tackle from peg 13 of the outer, using long pole and meat for an all-carp net.
SUPER Simon Cordingley put together a huge haul to take top spot in the latest Nene Angling Club outing, at Freemans fishery near Towcester.
Cordingley weighed in with 105-8-0 for the top spot to finish ahead of a field of 15 anglers.
All in attendance caught and though the water did not fish at its best, there were some respectable weights.
Dave Gibbins bagged 39-5-0 for second place, with Baz Eaton landing third on 23-6-0.
Chris Howard and Mark Tottingham shared fourth place with 22-0-0.
RIC HAYNES weighed in with 34-2-0 for first place in the Glebe Angling Club match, fished at Biggin lake on Sunday.
Haynes put together a string of cruceans on the pole and pellet for first place.
Kev Reynolds bagged second place with 24-6-0 using the same method as the winner, with Ewan Underwood following suit with 9-9-0 for third.
Geoff Green completed the podium with a single carp that tipped the scales at 8-8-0 for fourth place.
Next Sunday sees the club at Furzdon lake in Milton Keynes for the annual match with Denton AC.
MARK WILLIAMS bagged a match record 134-0-0 for top spot in the White Hart AC match against Britannia at Barby banks.
Chris Campling totalled 62-4-0 on the pole for second, with Keith Garrett in third on 58-0-0. Bert Iles filled the frame with 56-0-0 as White Hart ran out 500-301 winners.
