Road repair works causing heavy queues in Sixfields, Northampton
Long tailbacks are being felt in the Sixfields area of Northampton after a busy route was shut for roadworks.
On the A5076 Upton Way there is queuing traffic in both directions between the Danes Camp Way junction and the Sixfields roundabout.
This is because the A4500 leading out west towards the M1 is currently closed for road resurfacing works in both directions.
The off-peak works by Northamptonshire County Council are set to finish at 3.30pm so traffic is expected to ease in time for rush hour.
