A car hit a tree which had fallen into a country road in Northamptonshire this morning.
High winds caused a tree to come crashing down in Rothersthorpe Road, Kislingbury this morning near the Bugbrooke Road junction.
Northamptonshire Police received a call at 6.45am this morning from a driver travelling from Gayton to Kislingbury who said they had hit a tree which had fallen into the road.
Police said the tree blocked the entire road adding that the owner of the land where the tree had come from was going to arrange for it to be removed.
The driver of the car that hit the tree was not injured.
Police said they believed that the road was now clear.
