A burst main that left homes in Northampton without water for most of the morning was fixed by Sunday lunchtime according to Anglian Water.

Properties in the NN2 and NN5 area of the town have been experiencing a disrupted water supply since from around 6.30am today (Sunday, February 7)

Some customers have been left with no water supply at all, while others have experienced low pressure.

Anglian Water said all the affected properties should have seen water come back to normal from noon.

A spokesperson for the company said many could still experience low pressure while repairs were being carried out.

Anyone experiencing cloudy or discoloured water is advised to run taps until clear.
