Recruitment day is being held at Northampton General Hospital

The hospital is the town’s biggest employer and is looking for people to fill vacancies in its domestic services department.

The department provides a range of support services throughout the hospital including cleaning duties and linen distribution. Vacancies include domestic assistants, team leaders and supervisors. There are full and part-time posts available across a range of shifts, including evening and weekends.

The domestic services department plays a crucial role in keeping the hospital clean and welcoming and reducing the risk of infection. They also make sure wards and departments have stocks of clean linen, such as sheets and towels.

The open day has been organised to give local people the chance to meet some of the team, find out more about the jobs and where possible interviews will be carried out on the day.

Visitors to the open day will be able to find out about opportunities for training and progression as well as benefits such as the NHS pension scheme and the on-site gym and swimming pool.

The drop-in open day takes place at Northampton General Hospital in the Cyber Café on Hospital Street from 2pm to 6.30pm on Tuesday, March 8.
