The Sevens pub in Northampton has reopened following a £160,000 makeover.
New manager Dan Coles and his team have been busy putting the finishing touches to the pub in Weedon Road, near Franklin’s Gardens.
The upgrade includes new internal decoration and seven new members of staff have been taken on.
Mr Coles said: “With all the excitement building around the Rugby World Cup, it’s a great time to be relaunching The Sevens and we’re looking forward to establishing the pub as the place to be in Northampton to meet friends and treat the family in a fun, friendly atmosphere.
“As well as reaching out to new customers, we’ll be welcoming back old regulars, including members of the pub’s pool team.”
It also means the reopening of Frank’s Hamburger House, which is joined to The Sevens and which will serve in the bar and restaurant from noon to 10pm every day.
Both venues had been closed since Saturday August 15.
Mr Coles, who has run pubs in London and Milton Keynes. is inviting customers to nominate charities to receive up to £250 worth of donations.
“We’re looking to give away £250 to a local charity or community cause, and customers can let us know who they think should receive the cash by completing a nomination form in the pub or through visiting our Facebook page.
“The winner will be announced at the end of the month, which is when we plan to stage a party night so the cheque can be presented and even more funds can be raised for charity.”
