Politicians to field questions from Northampton College students at EU debate

Students from Northampton College will get the chance to quiz two leading politicians on either side of the EU Referendum debate tomorrow.

An EU debate is set to take place at Northampton College tomorrow.

Andrea Leadsom, MP for South Northamptonshire will speak for the “leave” campaign while Nick Boles, MP for Grantham and Stamford and skills minister, will explain why he supports the “remain” campaign.

The session will start at the Booth Lane campus at 11am, with each guest speaking for an hour to outline their views on whether Britain should remain within the EU or leave.

Principal Pat Brennan-Barrett said: “We look forward to hearing from our speakers at what is a crucial time in the history of the UK.

“It’s an excellent opportunity for both staff and students to hear from both sides of the debate and make their minds up ahead of the vote later this month.”
