Police to investigate claims of 'disability discrimination' at Northamptonshire hotel

A police investigation has been launched into 'alleged disability discrimination' at a hotel in Northamptonshire.

The inquiry relates to a group of six people with learning difficulties visiting the Aviator Hotel in Sywell.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police confirmed that they were working to establish if any offences had been committed.

The spokesperson said: “We were alerted by a member of the public, who raised concerns about a Facebook profile.

“Following an initial investigation an incident of alleged disability discrimination at The Aviator Hotel was disclosed.

“This incident is thought to have occurred on Friday, May 13.

“We are currently investigating to establish if any offences have taken place and we will be looking to speak with everyone involved in the incident.”

The hotel is within the grounds of Sywell Aerodrome.

A spokesman for the aerodrome confirmed they were looking into the allegations and did not want to comment at this stage.
