Police sealed off the graveyard at a church in the centre of a Northamptonshire town today after a man was found injured.

The graveyard at Holy Cross Church in Daventry was closed by police this morning.

Officers cordoned off the area after a man was found injured in the early hours of Wednesday, December 30.

Police at the scene said the man had been taken to hospital and that at this time they believe he may have fallen over resulting in the injuries.

However, as a precaution they closed the graveyard to check there was no evidence that a crime had been committed.
