A fight involving eight men led to a road in Northampton being taped off for a forensic investigation after one of them sustained facial injuries.
Police were called to St Leonards Road in Far Cotton twice on Friday night (June 26) due to a fight involving a group of men on the street.
Officers were first called to disperse a group of men involved in what police described as an ‘altercation’ at 10.10pm.
But having done so, the police were called out again to St Leonards Road at 11.20pm to deal with a second fight, involving eight men.
One of those involved suffered facial injuries and was treated at the scene.
Police taped off a section of the road at around midnight on Friday night, to ‘enable a forensic examination of the scene’ according to a force spokeswoman.
It is understood no weapons were used in the fracas.
Northamptonshire Police has asked for anyone with information about the incident to contact the force on 101.
