Police appeal for witnesses after two motorcyclists taken to hospital with serious injuries

Police are appealing for witnesses after two motorcyclists were injured in separate collisions over the weekend.

One of the collisions happened on Friday afternoon, at about 2.25pm, in Harlestone Road, Northampton, at the cross roads with Lodge Way and Firsview Drive, Duston.

A blue Yamaha motorbike, ridden by a 28-year-old man from Ryehill, was travelling towards Northampton, when it was in collision with a blue Ford Ranger, driven by a 55-year-old man from Duston.

The second collision happened on the A508, near Courteenhall, on Saturday morning, at about 10.35am, near to the M1, junction 15.

A blue Skoda Fabia, driven by a 23-year-old woman from Coventry, was in collision with a silver Honda motorbike, ridden by a 47-year-old man from Northampton.

In both incidents, the motorcyclists were taken by air ambulance to University Hospital Coventry with serious injuries.
