A planning application has gone in to build up to 113 houses on land to the east of Desborough.
The application would see the development built east of Watermill Close, to the north of Rushton Road.
It is expected that the development will comprise of 79 ‘market’ houses and 34 ‘affordable’ houses, although the provision is yet to be confirmed.
The application’s design and access statement reads: “The site is within 20 minutes walk of Desborough’s centre with the potential for good pedestrian links between the town, the new homes and the new community facility.
“There is an opportunity to provide additional community facilities for the town on this site.
“Due to where the site is positioned, it would allow potential residents to have access to the main town of Desborough easily by public transport, by cycling or on foot.
“A new local equipped area for play could also be on the development, to encourage young families to the area.
“The footpath that runs through the area could also be adjusted to suit any new proposals on the site.”
Those wishing to have their say on the plans have until August 3 and can do so here.
A decision is expected by October 3 this year.
