Top young skaters descended on Northampton over the weekend as part of a soft drink company’s bid to find the country’s leading extreme sport talent.
Hundreds of spectators lined the perimeter of Radlands Plaza, in Midummer Meadows, on Saturday as part of Mountain Dew’s #DewTourBootcamp event.
Amateur skaters from across the UK competed in a series of ‘complex and skilled skate sessions’, organisers said, for the chance to win a place in the European final of the tournament to be held in Amsterdam.
Only two skaters left with tickets to the Dutch city however.
In addition to the skate competition, the Dew Tour Bootcamp event saw live DJs and demos from three of Moutain Dew’s skate demonstration team, Keelan Dadd, Boo Johnson and Nick Tucker, perform a series of gravity defying stunts.
