A man will apear in a Northampton court tomorrow charged with the murder of Arthur Brunhill in 1993.
Stuart Jenkins, aged 39, of Ossett in West Yorkshire, si charged with killing the 76-year-old.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Northampton Magistrates Court on May 21.
Mr Brumhill died on January 22, 1993, his body being found in the basement of Denton’s Pet and Garden Store in Wellingborough Road.
Detective Inspector Louise Hemingway said: “We are pleased to be able to confirm that 22 years after Arthur’s death we have today been able to charge someone with his murder.
“This followed a review of the case and a re-examination of evidence recovered from the scene using up to date forensic techniques.”
